Philip Nesbitt

Baltimore native H. Philip Nesbitt, Sr., was an owner of Sebring’s WSEB AM-1340 in the 1960’s. The World War II communications officer spent many years in radio as an announcer in the Washington and Baltimore areas with WNAV in Annapolis and WITH in Baltimore, and eventually owned WHFS in Bethesda.

Nesbitt also developed antenna systems and was instrumental in the setting up of radio transmitters in the Florida Keys. He died April 30, 1999 of a heart attack at the age of 77.
