Warren Kauffman
Although born in Milford, DE, Warren grew up in Ravenna, OH and went on to serve with the U.S. Navy during WWII. In 1955, he and his family moved to Tampa where he worked for many years as a broadcast engineer at area radio stations, including WFLA and WDAE. He retired from Florida Power Corp. in 1994.
In addition to his love for gardening, stamp collecting, and sailing, he was also a skydiving enthusiast who made 2,463 lifetime jumps – his last at the age of 74.
Warren passed away at his Largo home May 18, 2008 at the age of 82.
