Buck Williams

Claude E. “Buck” Williams was from Sumter, SC and moved to Polk County from Jacksonville in 1961. He became a sales manager and chief engineer for Lakeland’s WWAB until it dropped its country format in 1975 and he moved to Bartow’s WPUL.  Through the 80’s, he worked in sales with Winter Haven’s WPCV where he remained until his death in 1991 at the age of 65.
