Bill Connolly
Bill joined WRBQ’s “Q Morning Zoo” in 1983 during the Cleveland Wheeler-Scott Shannon period, and later became Mason Dixon’s sidekick on the show. Known for his numerous voices, comedy sketches, and song parodies, (some of which became so popular that they were syndicated to other stations), he went on to co-host mornings with Dixon on Mix 96 WMTX, Kiss FM WAKS, Oldies U92 WYUU, and again Q105 in 2003 when both returned to host “Mason & Bill in the Morning.”
The talented radio man was also a talented caricature artist, an ability that originally brought him to Florida years ago. Before making his “Zoo” radio debut, he landed a job as a caricature artist at Walt Disney World on the recommendation of Beetle Bailey cartoonist Mort Walker.
In December 2008, Bill was among a group of Q105 staffers who were pink-slipped when station owner CBS Radio cleaned out most of its air talent.
