Ronald J. Gordon
Ronald J. Gordon founded ZGS Communications, an Hispanic-owned, Spanish-language communications company. Today (2009), ZGS owns two Tampa Bay AM radio stations, WGES-AM 680 and WAMA-AM 1550, and Telemundo TV affiliate WRMD.
He is a native of Peru and received his B.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University. His numerous awards include five Emmys, two Tellys, the White House Media Achievement Award, Hispanic Business Person of the Year (Hispanic Business Institute-2000), and Man of the Year for Small Business (Greater Washington Ibero-American Chamber of Commerce-2000).
