Joe Bell
Joe’s introduction to broadcasting was through the International Broadcasting School which he attended in 1972 and 1973. From then until 1987, he held down a variety of radio jobs at stations in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, North and South Carolina, and Florida, where he was sales manager for Tampa Bay’s WYNF (1976-1980).
He went on to become vice-president and general manager for Curtis Media (1982-1995), general sales manager for Durham Life Broadcasting’s WPTF/Raleigh (1987-1990), regional manager for Pinnacle Broadcasting (1996-1997), and VP/GM of Beasley Broadcast Group’s WJBX-FM and WJST-FM (1998) in Ft. Myers.
The following year, Joe moved to Beasley’s stations in the Miami area, where today (2010) he serves as market manager for the cluster, as well as GM for Sportsradio 560 WQAM and 99-9 Kiss Country WKIS.
