Mayhem In the A.M.

WLKF’s morning live and local talkfest, “Mayhem In the A.M.,” began in 1993 as “Crews & Company,” hosted by PD Bob Crews with various regulars that included Lynne Breidenbach, Tina Castle, Judith Tylke, Andrea Oliver, and news director Allen Kent.  In 1998, it became “A.M. Polk County” with Crews and news anchor Larry Cox. Mark Stevens was added in 2002 and the show re-named “Mayhem In the A.M.” the following year.

Crews and Cox retired in 2004, leaving the show to continue with Stevens, new WLKF PD Brian Bruchey, and Erica Smith, marketing manager for the Lakeland Center. Bruchey left radio to enter law enforcement in 2007 and was replaced by Terry Lombardi. Stevens, Smith, and Lombardi stayed on for another year before making their exits.

From 2008 to 2012, “Mayhem” featured former WTWB/Auburndale morning show host Seth Mela and various contributors who frequented the program on a regular basis.
