Ron Scott

Ron moved to Tampa Bay from his hometown of Cleveland in 1973 and graduated the following year from the American School of Broadcasting in Tampa. His first radio gig was in 1976 as morning man at Dunedin’s WDCL (for $80.00 a week). From there he moved to WAZE, WGUL, WTAN (afternoons and eventually PD), sister station WOKF-FM (voice work), and WLCY (middays 1980-81). His last bay area work was middays at Magic 96 WMGG.

After relocating to the Northeast and settling in the Boston area in 1983, he worked on the air and held the PD’s position at WMEX, WSSH, WBOS, and a couple others before leaving radio in 1991.

Today (2011), Ron sells real estate in Milton, Massachusetts, just outside Boston.
