WRAV - A History

WRAV-FM 92.1 Venice – Three-kilowatt WAMR-FM became WRAV in 1984 after its acquisition by Comco Inc. of Florida (Walter Windsor, president) from Venice-Nokomis Broadcasting (Florence Rhodes, president). Studios were at the transmitter site at 282 North Auburn Road in Venice.

WRAV was sold to Hall Communications (Robert M. Hall, president) in 1986 and became WCTQ.
