WXJB - A History

WXJB-FM 99.9 Homosassa – Memphis-based Flinn Broadcasting (George S. Flinn, Jr., president) signed on Homosassa’s WXJB-FM in July 2010. Almost immediately, Hernando Broadcasting’s Steve Manuel, president/GM of Brooksville’s AM-1450 WWJB, announced the station would be operating out of WWJB’s studios at 55 West Fort Dade Avenue.

WXJB-FM’s 2,300-watt transmitter and tower are located at a site off Ponce De Leon Boulevard (U.S. 98), northwest of Brooksville. The station primarily serves Citrus and Hernando counties with mostly syndicated talk programming (News & Talk for the Nature Coast), plus a few local shows simulcast from WWJB.
