WSKP - A History

WSKP-FM 105.5 Sebring – Morgan Broadcasting’s (Harry J. Morgan, president) WSEB-FM adopted a religious format and new call letters in 1974 and became WSKP-FM. In 1981, the three-kilowatt FM switched to beautiful music, and then to MOR two years later.

Highlands Broadcasting Ltd (Robert J. Connely, president) acquired WSKP in 1984 and the music format and calls flipped to adult contemporary WCAC-FM.

Names from WSKP history include Wesley Hall (morning drive/news-1974), Al Miller (middays-1974), William G. Poley (GM/sales manager-1979), Ronald Trick (PD-1979), Reed Wall (promotions-1979), Ed Cole (chief engineer-1979), Robert Toney (PD-1980), Philip R. Scott (GM/sales manager/chief engineer-1980), Steve Cordovano (music director-1980), John Fox (PD/music director-1981), Roland G. Roy (GM-1983), and Roland Roy III (chief engineer-1983).
