WTBL - A History
WTBL-AM 1470 Dunedin – Concord Media Group (Mark W. Jorgenson, pres.) acquired Dunedin’s WLVU-AM in 1998 from Pasco Pinellas Broadcasting and changed its ethnic/time brokered format and call letters to gospel WTBL.
The five-kilowatt (day, 500 watt night) station operated from studios at its tower site at 2625 CR 95 in Palm Harbor.
In 2000, WTBL was sold to Genesis Communications, which reinstated the previous call letters and flipped the station to a financial format as Money/Talk Radio WLVU.
Other names from WTBL history include Chris Turner (GM-1999).
