Tim Trott

Tim is originally from Detroit, but grew up in the tiny “not-even-a-town” of Clarcona, south of Apopka, FL. His "official" start in the broadcasting business was through his high school’s Junior Achievement program at the Orlando area’s NBC television affiliate, WESH-TV. That experience later led to other TV jobs in Tampa Bay with WLCY, WSUN, and WFLA.

When the City of St. Petersburg sold its WSUN-TV in 1966, he moved to WSUN radio, and then to WTCX-FM. Those were a busy couple of years, what with his evening work from 8 to 10 on WTCX and overnights on WSUN, followed by a few hours’ sleep before afternoon classes at St. Pete Junior College (now St. Petersburg College).

Tim joined St. Pete Beach’s WILZ in 1968 but left after two years to become the new PD at WTRR in Sanford. After a five year run there, he signed up with Winter Park’s WNBE.

In 1978 he formed Tim Trott Audio, Inc., a tech contractor business. By the early 80’s, he was also working with the Florida (Radio) Network as an on-call engineer for coverage of the first seven STS space shuttle launches.

Today (2012), Tim runs Cyberchute Hosting, a website hosting service, and Tim Trott Productions, a video production division of Tim Trott Audio, Inc.
