Keith’s introduction to radio was at a radio station event in Orlando at his parent’s place of business when he was 13. Later, while working on earning his B.A. in broadcast programming and production from the University of South Florida, he worked at various Tampa Bay radio and TV stations. Although some jobs paid and some didn’t, all provided experience and expanded his attraction to the Tampa Bay area.
After graduating in 1993, he worked for Paxson Communications and Gross Communications in Orlando as an account manager. He moved to Bozeman, Montana as a new general sales manager in 1995, and then became director of sales for Reier Broadcasting’s five stations. Two years later, he returned to Tampa Bay and joined Paxson again just prior to those stations being sold to Clear Channel and Cox.
Keith has been an account manager, national sales manager (1999), general sales manager for 97X WSUN-FM (2000), vice president and general manager of Cox rock properties WSUN/WHPT/WXGL (2005-2009), and vice president and market manager for Tampa’s Cox Media Group (2009-2021). In late March 2021, he was named regional vice-president for Cox's Tampa and Houston markets.
