Jason Dixon

Tampa native Jason Dixon (Eichmann) began his radio career with 970 WFLA-AM in 1989 and went on to become a music air personality and morning show producer for sister station WFLZ-FM. Clear Channel tapped him as the program director in 1996 when they launched The Sports Animal WDAE-AM.

In 2000, the Tampa native transitioned into professional sports as the Senior Director of Broadcasting and Programming for The NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning and Arena Football’s Tampa Bay Storm, while employed by Detroit based Palace Sports and Entertainment.

In August 2013, Greater Media announced that Dixon had been named program director of Detroit Sports 105.1 WMGC-FM in the Motor City. He served the previous three years as PD and operations manager at Capitol Broadcasting’s The Fan WCMC-FM, The Buzz WDNC-AM 620, and ESPN Deportes WCLY-AM  in Raleigh, North Carolina.
