Andrea’s first Lakeland radio job was at WONN back in the mid 1980’s as a deejay on the night shift. Following a brief stay at WLKF, she went back to her home country of Jamaica to get married, then returned to Lakeland and put in four years as Public Service Director at WCIE.
After the birth of her son in 1992, Andrea continued to do freelance work and ended up doing a morning show for a couple of years with Bob Crews and Alan Kent at WLKF in the mid 1990’s. Since 1997, when she re-entered the workforce on a full- time basis, Andrea has been News and Public Service Director for the Hall Communications stations in Lakeland, which include WONN, WPCV, WLKF, and WWRZ.
When not working on something radio-related, you’ll find Andrea teaching classes at a local health club or through the City of Lakeland’s Parks and Recreation Department. She is a nationally certified group fitness instructor and teaches several classes a week. And if that wasn’t enough to fill up her life, Andrea is also actively involved in the music ministry at her church.
Andrea and her two favorite men, husband Kiplyn and son Nathan, live in Lakeland.
