Dave Lane

Dave’s first commercial job in broadcasting came in 1960 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan at WSOO-AM. During the 1960’s most of his work experience was in the Atlanta area working at such rock stations as WQXI, WAKE, WFOM and WPLO. During the years 1968 to 1979 he returned to Michigan, settling in the Grand Rapids area where he was a part-time journalism instructor at Grand Valley State University in 1976 and 1977 and Production Manager and afternoon drive jock at Adult Contemporary WKBZ in Muskegon from 1977 to 1979.

In the early 1980’s Dave moved to Florida and took a job at WGTO at Cypress Gardens. In 1985 he was hired as Production Director for Musikom Telephone On-Hold Systems in Lakeland. Dave also worked at WVFM alternating as needed between the FM (Bonneville Beautiful Music) and the AM (Lite Rock/Oldies WLKF).

In 1987 Dave relocated to Houston where he worked at KQUE-FM, an adult oriented oldies station. While there, he formed a new on-hold sales systems company in 1994, Gulf Coast Productions, which also produces beds for broadcast production music libraries.  Since 2000 he has also been managing a religious station, KGBC in Galveston, while continuing to run his production company.
