George Nix

George is a veteran of Tampa Bay radio. From 1970 to 1976, he was the mid-day voice (and then afternoons) at the legendary WLCY AM-1380 and also put in time at WTMP. In the mid 1990’s he started working weekends at Tampa Bay’s Smooth Jazz 94.1 WSJT and, in 1999, moved up to morning drive. He shifted to nights from 7 to midnight in 2006 following the departure of long-time night host, Tom Sanchez.

In October 2008, George and a number of other CBS staffers got pink slips in a major cutback in the company's Tampa Bay cluster.
