Scott Robbins

Scott (Marc P. Werboff) was from Toms River, New Jersey and began his radio career in 1969 at a New York station. After moving to Tampa Bay in 1978 from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he went on to work at several area outlets over the next two decades, including Mix 96 (WMTX- FM), Coast 107.3 (WCOF-FM), WSUN-FM, and U92 (WYUU-FM).

While working at oldies AM-1040 WHBO in 1989, he was named “Tampa Bay’s Favorite Deejay” in a contest sponsored by the St. Petersburg Times.

Scott died of an apparent heart attack at his Safety Harbor home in 2002. He was 54.
