Rita Christie
A popular air personality at Lakeland Christian station WCIE-FM 91 throughout the late 1970’s and 1980’s, Rita is remembered for her challenge to “have a Jesus-filled day.” When she left WCIE at the end of the decade she moved to television, first at the Christian Television Network from 1991 to 1993 where she co-hosted a program seen across North America on satellite and CTN network stations, Rita and Jim: Together Again, with former WCIE alumus Jim Gates.
Today (2006) Rita is involved in full-time ministry and co-hosts Today’s Family with Ken Mikesell on Orlando Christian TV stations WTGL Channel 52 and WLCB Channel 45.
