Robert C. Pickering
Born and raised in Moselle, in the Pine Belt region of southern Mississippi, Robert spent most of his teen years in Pasadena, TX, a Houston suburb. Following high school and studies at the University of Southern Mississippi, he put in 15 years in radio at various stations, his first full-time gig doing overnights at WNSL, a Top 40 operation in Laurel-Hattiesburg, MS. In 1990 he took the afternoon shift at WHNR in Winter Haven until the station was sold and changed format.
Today (2010) Robert works for Sykes Enterprises, a Tampa-based client services company, at its call center in Lakeland.
