Uncle Johnny Walker
Uncle Johnny is the radio name of longtime deejay Paul Michaud. Johnny moved to Tampa from WWCO in Waterbury, CT (where he was known as Johnny Walker) as one of PD Bill Garcia’s original Q105 jocks when WRBQ-FM went on the air in 1973.
In 1979 he moved to Y-95 for a short time and then was hired for early evenings at Q107 WRQX in Washington, DC. Although he was scoring great numbers by 1985, he left for WZOU in Boston, and then returned to DC for three more years. Other stops included WXXL/WSHE in Orlando (1991) and mornings at oldies Q105.1 WQJQ in Jackson, MS. He also voice tracked weekends on WMGF in Orlando for a time.
Today (2010), Johnny is doing mornings at Real Country 96.9 WSIG in Harrisonburg, VA.
