Don Capone
Don was born in the Bronx, New York City, and eventually moved to Tampa Bay where he graduated from Seminole High School in 1978. He got his FCC license a year later and spent a few years spinning records in some of Tampa Bay’s top nightclubs.
One of his early radio gigs was in 1983 when he worked at WGUL for a month before leaving to join 95YNF. His time with the bay area’s legendary rocker spanned a decade, all the way to its dismantling in 1993. From there, he continued his radio work with Mix 96 WMTX (1993 to 1996), 100.7 Kiss FM WAKS (1997-1998), and Thunder 103.5 WTBT-FM (1998-2001).
Don retired from radio in 2001 to do full-time voiceover work, and has done everything from movie trailers and automotive commercials to documentaries.
