Bob Narley

Born and raised just outside Chicago in the town of Barrington, Illinois, Bob Narley (obviously an alias) got his radio start in 1991 at 98 Rock WXTB, first as executive producer, and then co-host of “The All Request Morning Show.” During that time he created over 1800 comedy bits and formed the very popular parody rock group “The Killer Kona Buds.” The band became so popular that it headlined several huge outdoor festivals, including Guavaween and Livestock, with such notables as Korn and Great White.

When he left 98 Rock in 1997, Bob spent the next four years as a freelance comedy producer creating comedy productions for morning shows across the country. In September 2001 he answered a call to bring his creative talents and style and host the morning show on Real Rock 92.5 WRQC-FM in Ft. Myers. There he implemented such features as “Torture Tuesdays” and “You Say It We Play It,” quickly hitting it off with men 18-34 and 25-54.

Bob firmly believes that with the right talent and original topical content, a local music-intensive show can win against egotistical shock jocks…and he proved it in southwest Florida. He spent three years doing his own morning show on WRQC and now (2007) works in the Windy City as Pat Capone (another alias?) on WLUP, The Loop. He also graduated from the famous Second City in downtown Chicago and is president of KKI Digital Media Productions.
