Jim Shafer
Jim has had decades of major market radio experience, including work with stations in Cleveland, St. Louis, and Charlotte.
The New Berlin, New York native moved to Tampa Bay in 1977 and did afternoons on WFLA for three years before moving to WSUN as Sun Country’s morning man in 1981. Five years later, he left the Sunshine State to pull mornings for WGAR in Cleveland.
Today (2016), Jim is a freelance broadcaster and makes his home in Charlotte, NC. He also fronts a five-piece show band that tours the Southeast on weekends, playing for corporate events, festivals, receptions, etc.
