There are morning show teams and then there are Chadd and Kristi, a team crazy enough to not only spend mornings together on the radio, but 24 hours a day together as husband and wife!

 

The pair met and became a ‘team’ while working at Gainesville’s Rock 104 and attending the University of Florida. Both had lived similar lives in that Chadd grew up in Indiana but moved to Florida his senior year of high school (and graduated from East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs), and Kristi grew up in Virginia and also moved to Florida her senior year of high school.

Following graduation the two relocated to Tampa Bay, married, and set their sights on doing a morning radio show together. That idea ended up happening in January 2001 at Cox Media’s Warm 94.9 WWRM and later at Beasley Media Group’s b98.7 WBRN (now WPBB).

Chadd, who began his radio career in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, was also the station’s program director. He previously worked at 99.5 WQYK and 107.3 WCOF in Tampa, while Kristi used the name ‘Kristi Storm’ at 98 Rock WXTB and Thunder 103.5 WTBT.

After 18 years the duo left Tampa Bay to become the new morning show co-hosts for Entercom’s Detroit soft AC WDZH 98.7 The Breeze.
