Denny Bateman

Denny worked in the Orlando market before moving to Tampa Bay where he spent over 22 years with New Port Richey’s WGUL. He was the mid-day host first, then switched to afternoon drive, and was also the station’s accomplished copywriter, earning over 20 Addy awards.

When Salem Communications acquired WGUL-AM in 2005, Denny moved over to the former WGUL-FM 106.3 (which had changed to The True Oldies Channel, WJQB-FM) as production director and on-air personality Denny B.
