Ken knew early on that he wanted to be on the radio. He started his career when he was just 15 at his hometown station, KWOC, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and went on to work for stations in the Show-Me State cities of Kennett, Jefferson City, Moberly, and Osage Beach. He also put in a stint in Mt. Airy, North Carolina (the heart of Andy Griffith country), and did afternoons in Las Vegas.
In 2002, he joined WENG and today (2009) is its general manager. He hosts the 6-9 AM morning show, “The Suncoast This Morning,” a mix of travel tips, consumer information, entertainment stories, local and national news, sports, weather, and traffic reports. He’s also one who believes in community involvement, and has served as chairman of the membership committee of the Englewood/Cape Haze Area Chamber of Commerce.
