WZRH - A History
WZRH-AM 1400 Zephyrhills – WZRH was ZephyRHills’ first station to operate on AM-1400. The 250-watt outlet signed on the air in May 1962 and was owned by Zephyr Broadcasting Corp. (John Dent, president). Paul Lasobik acquired the station in October 1963 and the call letters changed to WPAS (PASco County).
A few names from WZRH history include William K. Diehl (GM-1962), James Sims (sales manager-1962), Ray Allen (PD-1962), Art Hill (news-1962), Dale Graves (chief engineer-1962-63), Bill Bailey (GM/sales manager-1963), and Tommy Thomas (PD-1963).
