Carl Glicken

Carl's 30+ year career in broadcasting began as an account executive at Tampa’s WALT in the late 1950’s and included a stop a decade later as general manager of WDAE.

He was also in sales at New Orleans’ WYLD, served as assistant manager at WFUN in Miami, was national sales manager at WCIN in Cincinnati, and later manager of Southern Broadcasting’s WKIX in Raleigh, NC. In 1971, he became president and GM of Home Security Broadcasting and moved to Orlando to run WLOF and WLOQ.

Glicken had been regional sales manager for WESH-TV Channel 2 in Daytona Beach for about a decade at the time of his passing in 1990 at the age of 60.
