Jim began his career at WDRC in Hartford in 1965 and spent the next 40 years at some of the biggest stations in the country, including WFIL, WCAU, WOGL, and WPEN, all in Philadelphia, and WABC, WHN, WCBS, and WPIX-FM in New York. In 1983 he worked in Tampa Bay at WDAE. 

Jim passed away from cancer in 2009 at the age of 69.
