David Gold

David is a hard-hitting conservative/libertarian who was one of Tampa Bay’s first conservative talk show hosts when he worked for WPLP-AM 570 from 1980 to 1983. With an undergraduate degree in political science and a Masters in journalism, he began his career in Denver a few years earlier with the liberal Alan Berg as his mentor. After WPLP, he went on to Miami and then to Dallas’ KLIF where he became a big name in talk radio in the late 1980’s.

A well-respected and much sought-after public speaker, David has been a guest on national TV shows including ABC’s “Nightline” and “Good Morning America,” and CNN’s “Crossfire.” His interests include not only politics, but the husband and father of two is an avid golfer and a former national trivia competitor whose favorite subjects were rock’n’roll, movies, and sports.

Today (2007), David has a syndicated radio show which originates from Dallas.
