Al Dunaway

Al Dunaway was from Baton Rouge, LA. In 1960, he moved to Florida from WSAI in Cincinnati and, except for mid days on Miami’s WFUN (mid 60’s), his radio work was mostly centered in morning drive at stations across central Florida between Orlando and Tampa Bay.

Among the stations he’s worked for are Tampa Bay’s WALT and WLCY in the early and mid 1960’s, and WYOU in the mid 70s, Cypress Gardens’ WGTO in the late 60’s, and Orlando’s WHOO, WLOF and WKIS in the 70’s.

Today (2015), Al makes his home in Cassadega, FL in Volusia County and drives a truck delivering emergency vehicles around the country.
