Barry Foster

Barry was news director at WIPC in Lake Wales and also inherited the morning drive air shift shortly after he arrived there in 1980. He covered Lake Wales and Polk County news as well as scheduled guests and produced Tom Thornburg’s “Breakfast Club” show. In 1984 he moved to WYXY in Winter Haven as news director and also worked as a track announcer for Auburndale Speedway.

Since 1986, Barry has headquartered in Sebring and today (2007) is news director for the Cohan Radio Group’s five-station cluster (FM’s WWOJ and WWLL, and AM’s WJCM, WITS, and WWTK). He also hosts a daily talk show on WWTK-AM.
