Brian Bruchey

Brian is originally from Arcanum, Ohio, about 20 miles northeast of Dayton, where he began his radio career in 1988. His early work there also included a stint as an evening news anchor for Fox affiliate WRGT-TV. In 2003, he moved to Florida after landing a gig doing early morning news at Orlando’s WDBO-AM.

About a year later Brian accepted a similar position with Hall Communications’ four-station cluster in Lakeland. Eventually he became PD for three of the stations, WONN, WWRZ, and WLKF, and a co-host on the latter’s morning gab-fest, “Mayhem in the A.M.”

After 18 years in radio, Brian changed careers in April 2007 and entered law enforcement as a deputy sheriff with the Polk County Sheriff’s Department.
