Jeff Crews
Jeff is a sixth generation Polk County native who was raised in the citrus and cattle business and attended schools in the Lake Wales area. His interest and work in radio engineering began while working with the various sound equipment for Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City.
In 1986 the church took control of the local AM station, WHAN AM-930 and changed the call letters to WLVF (We’re Landmark’s Voice of Faith) and the format to Southern Gospel. Shortly after that, Jeff became its General Manager and Chief Engineer. He later became Chief Engineer at WWOJ, WWLL, and WITS in Sebring and also performed consulting and contract engineering work at other Central Florida stations, including the four of Hall Communications in Lakeland - WONN, WPCV, WLKF, and WWRZ.
Today (2005) Jeff is Chief Engineer for Hall’s Big 4 but also continues with his outside contract engineering work on an as-needed basis.
