Erica Smith
Erica was the “good lookin’” crew member of WLKF’s Mayhem in the AM from 2005 to 2008. In addition to the morning radio show, the Polk County native was the marketing director for the Lakeland Center, served on the adjunct faculty staff at Polk Community College, and wrote a column for “Today and Tonight” magazine.
In the 1980’s, she was almost a Mickey Mouse Club mouseketeer but, during auditions, lost out to Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera following the third call-back. The 1992 Haines City graduate went on to major in Communications at the University of Central Florida, earning both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree.
In late 2008, after three years getting up early for the radio show and working two jobs, Erica resigned from “Mayhem” to devote more time to her position with the Lakeland Center.
