Today (2006) she is the Director of the Southeast Regional Office there, a position she has held since 1992.
Laura’s jurisdiction covers not only the state of Florida, but also Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. She has served as a consultant to humane groups and local governments in improving their local ordinances and shelter facilities, and has lobbied the legislatures of several states in the region to get numerous animal protection laws passed.
