WSIR - Randy Jeffery
In 1970, Randy Jeffery became GM for Winter Haven's 97.5 WXKL-FM.
After changing the station to automated Beautiful Music WHFL, he sold it to NBC
Sports' personality Joe Garagiola in 1973 and bought the city's first radio station, WSIR,
and switched it to an Adult Contemporary format. Garagiola turned 97.5 into Country WPCV. |
