Jonnie Pinkston

Jonnie came to work as WONN's bookkeeper about the same time the station built new offices and studios at the transmitter site on Lake Hunter Drive in 1951. During the 28 years she was there, she saw many deejays and, later, owners come and go.

Jonnie retired in 1979 at the age of 60 and continued to live for a number of years in Lakeland. She raised three children, Gail, Nan, and Alex, and regularly attended First Baptist Church.

Jonnie was 76 when she passed away in January of 1996.
