Ron Haley
Ron came to work at WPLA as the station’s Program Director in 1979. They say that timing is everything and it certainly was for Ron, because the previous Program Director had walked out earlier the same day. Listeners were already familiar with his name because of his work as a sports anchor for WTVT, Channel 13 in Tampa.
Ron stayed with WPLA until 1983 when he left to continue his career at major stations in the Tampa Bay area.
