Eileen worked in the WPLA news department in 1988 and 1989 and remembers that her time spent there was some of the happiest of her life. When the station switched from music to sports/talk she left radio and moved into the field of marketing.
Not especially having a liking for the marketing business and missing her work in news a lot, Eileen decided to freelance. She first worked for the Florida Catholic, then the Tampa Tribune, and finally the St. Petersburg Times. Since being hired by the Times in 1998 as a staffer, she is now (2005) a religion/general assignment reporter working out of the newspaper’s Clearwater office.
Eileen is still single (2005) and lives in Treasure Island where she is mom to two wonderful kittens, India and Henry.
