Rex Davenport
Rex was editor of the Plant City Courier from 1981 to 1986. Originally from Indiana, he worked in Florida until 1987, including stints at the Lakeland Ledger and several Tampa Bay area newspapers. From 1983 to 1985 he was a color commentator for WPLA’s coverage of Plant City High School “Raider” football games and occasional basketball games.
After leaving Florida, Rex moved back north and worked for several Chicago and Washington D.C.-based magazines. Today (2007) he is associate director of publications for the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
